The Creative Ladder “Rising Leaders Academy” Summer 2025 Cohort 🪜💛🫰🏽
What a summer it’s been! From kicking off RLA while vacationing in Japan to finishing strong with our final group project in Module C: Leading Your Organization, I can confidently say—applying for this cohort was one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time.
For our final project (starting 8/2/25), each group member had to complete a SWOT analysis on a company we believed could both drive revenue and make a community impact.
I pitched MasterClass to my team—I've been a member since 2017 and have always admired their cinematic learning experiences led by industry icons. For me, education is everything.
Although my group explored other ideas, we ultimately chose MasterClass for its potential to merge cinematic learning, upskilling, B2B partnerships, and certification into one accessible ecosystem for diverse learners.
With today’s economy, shifting job market, and challenges around education affordability, we focused on how MasterClass could support everyday learners through community-centered programs and financial accessibility.
Drawing from my 20 years in pharma marketing, advertising, strategy, DEI, and my passion for education, our team designed a pilot program with Rutgers University—seen through the lens of our learner persona, Marcus.
Having managed countless patient journeys in brand campaigns for Fortune 500 companies, I applied that experience—along with my AI design, music, and storytelling background—to build Marcus’s learner journey.
And here’s the wild part—one week before our presentation, MasterClass officially launched MasterClass Certificates! 😱🤯
Their new program mirrored much of what we’d envisioned (including the B2B partnerships). So, we pivoted—focusing on community impact and affordable payment models, aligning with their vision to make education even more accessible.
Some might call it luck, but to us, it was the result of strategy, research, and market foresight.
